CORONA DEL MAR (CBS) — Newport Beach police are on the lookout for a man who robbed a Union Bank in Corona del Mar Tuesday.
Police say the man robbed the bank branch at 2865 East Coast Highway at about 4:45 p.m. by approaching the teller with a note, demanding the teller empty the money drawer. The suspect left the bank through the front door with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to Newport Beach police spokeswoman Kathy Lowe.
The robber is described a white man about 6 foot 2 with long hair, a goatee, wearing a long-sleeved gray undershirt, a dark-gray T-shirt and black sweat pants. The suspect also wore a gray and black-striped beanie and black sunglasses.
